ב-23 ביוני תיפתח התערוכה "נייר כבד" של האמנים מיה אדר-וולינג ואיליה קריינס בגלריה Wild Gallery, באוצרות רונית סורק.
מיה אדר וולינג ואיליה קריינס, ילידי 1988, בוגרי תואר ראשון בבצלאל ותואר שני בבולוניה (מיה) ובפראג (איליה). מלמדים הדפס בסטודיו לאנימציה "ילדי הפרא" במרחב החברתי במלון הנשיא בירושלים.
בתערוכות בגלריה הירושלמית החדשה WILD GALLERY מתקיימים דיאלוגים בין צמדי אמנים. הפעם, נערכת השיחה בשפת ההדפס. שני האמנים משתמשים בטכניקות בהן עבדו בתקופת לימודיהם בסדנאות הדפס בחו"ל, ומביאים משהו מהרוח העל-זמנית של המדיום אל חלל התצוגה. בתקופה בה נפרעים סדרי עולם הם מתרכזים בשיטות עבודה מן העבר ובוחנים בעזרתן נושאים מהותיים; מיה מתרכזת בתיאורי גוף אדם, בתנועה ובהבעות פנים. באמצעות האיכות החומרית של ההדפס היא מעניקה להם דרמה ומסתורין. איליה מתמקד במראות עיר ובזיכרונות אישיים. החזרתיות הגלומה בהדפס ממחישה את הזמניות השברירית שלהם. הדיאלוג המעודן בין האמנים מהווה בסיס יציב לתערוכה.
The exhibition Heavy Paper, by Maya Adar-Walling and Ilya Kreines, curated by Ronit Sorek, will open on June 23 at Wild Gallery.
Maya Adar-Walling and Ilya Kreines, both born in 1988, hold Bachelor's degrees from Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design and Master's degrees from Bologna (Maya) and Prague (Ilya). They teach printmaking at the Wild Kids animation studio in the social space at the President Hotel in Jerusalem.
The exhibitions at the new Wild Gallery, Jerusalem, feature dialogues between pairs of artists. This time, the conversation is conducted in the language of printmaking. Both artists use techniques they practiced during their studies in printmaking workshops abroad, bringing some of the timeless spirit of the medium into the exhibition space. In a period when the world's order is being unsettled, they focus on traditional methods to examine essential themes. Maya concentrates on depicting the human body, its movement, and facial expressions. Through the material quality of printmaking, she adds drama and mystery to them. Ilya focuses on urban scenes and personal memories. The repetition inheren in printmaking highlights their fragile temporality. The refined dialogue between the artists serves as a stable foundation for the exhibition.

Maya Adar-Walling is a Jerusalem-based Artist, she received her B.F.A in Animation from Bezalel Academy of art and design, Jerusalem and her M.F.A in printmaking from The Accademia de Belle Arte Bologna, Italy.
איליה קריינס
איליה קריינס הוא אמן רב-תחומי מירושלים. בשנת 2023 קיבל תואר MGA בסטודיו לאיור וגרפיקה באקדמיה UMPRUM (פראג), לאחר שקיבל תואר BCA בתקשורת חזותית מהאקדמיה בצלאל, ישראל.
Ilya KreinesIlya Kreines
Ilya Kreines is a Jerusalem-based multidisciplinary artist. In 2023 he got an MGA degree in the Illustration and Graphics studio of UMPRUM (Prague) after receiving a BCA in Visual Communication at Bezalel Academy, Israel.
